Eligibility criteria
This Commercial Legal Expenses cover is not available for businesses engaged in the following sectors:
- Aircraft or aerospace
- Bailiffs
- Barristers, lawyers and solicitors
- Care or nursing homes
- Educational establishments
- Fairgrounds and amusement arcades
- Financial services
- Gambling, gaming, betting establishments, casinos or turf accountants
- Gentlemen’s clubs and other venues providing entertainment in the form of lap dancing, table dancing, pole dancing and/or where striptease and/or erotic dance is regularly performed
- Night clubs
- Nuclear
- Professional sporting clubs
- Recruitment agencies and umbrella companies
- Waste / refuse disposal and scrap dealer
- The Proposer / Insured’s annual turnover must not exceed £7,500,000
- Proposers who are property owners must not have more than 25 tenants
- Commercial legal expenses cover has not been declined or subject to special terms in the past
- The proposer has not had more than one legal dispute to which this insurance would apply in the last 3 years
- The proposer has not had any legal or taxation dispute which has incurred costs of more than £5,000
